Synopsis
The Movie of My Life (O Filme da Minha Vida, 2017) is a Brazilian drama you can watch online on iFILM. Southern Brazil, 1963, a quiet town up in the sierras. Young Tony comes home from college only to learn that his French father has packed up and gone back to France, with no explanation left behind.
Tony lives for cinema and poetry, and now he aches for the man who first lit that spark in him. He goes looking for traces of his father among the old friends, takes a post at the village school, and ends up becoming the steady male presence for local kids that he himself never had. Johnny Massaro plays the longing gently, never overwrought; Vincent Cassel is the elusive father, charming and unreliable in equal measure. Selton Mello both directed the film and acts in it.
