Ballerina

Ballerina (발레리나, 2023) is a South Korean action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Lee Chung-hyun. The setup is stripped down to bone: a woman is dead, her killer is known, and a former bodyguard named Ok-ju — who failed to protect her — intends to finish what her friend asked of her before she died.

That last wish is revenge. Jeon Jong-seo, who carried Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, plays Ok-ju with a contained fury that makes every confrontation land harder than it should. The film cuts between Ok-ju's steady, methodical progress toward the man responsible and brief fragments of what the two women meant to each other — and those fragments do all the emotional heavy lifting. The action sequences are clean and brutal without overstaying their welcome.
