Synopsis

She lands in a Chinese city and takes a job at a shop that exports tea, working alongside its owner Cai, a man in his forties who treats every brew as a ritual. Their bond grows slowly, over talk of leaves, temperature and patience. Yet both carry the weight of earlier lives, and the people around them are quick to judge a couple who don't fit. Nina Mélo and Han Chang lead the cast.
Sissako, the Cannes-honored director of Timbuktu, frames a love story that crosses continents, languages and generations. There are no big twists here.
