Synopsis
No manches, Frida (2016) is a Mexican comedy directed by Nacho G. Velilla that you can watch online on iFILM. Omar Chaparro headlines as an ex-con, with Martha Higareda playing the teacher who sees right through him.
Bank robber Zequi walks out of prison with one goal: dig up the loot his partner buried on an empty lot. Trouble is, while he was locked away, somebody built over it — the cash now sits under the gymnasium of an ordinary high school. So Zequi talks his way into a job there as the gym teacher. The students are feral, the principal is breathing down his neck, and a fellow teacher (Higareda) pegs him as a fraud from day one. Every attempt to tunnel toward the money falls apart.
It's a loose Mexican remake of the German hit Fack ju Göhte, and it keeps the humor loud and crude, gags coming nonstop while Chaparro anchors the whole farce. The film was a box-office smash at home and kicked off a franchise. Stream No manches, Frida (2016) online on iFILM.
