Synopsis
"Vivacious Lady" (1938) is a screwball romantic comedy directed by George Stevens — watch online on iFILM. James Stewart plays Peter, a mild-mannered botany professor who goes to New York to drag his cousin home and comes back married to a nightclub singer named Francey, played by Ginger Rogers.
Back in his small college town, Peter can't bring himself to tell his domineering father or his ailing mother about the surprise wedding. Francey moves in with the cousin and waits while Peter stalls. She turns out to be far more resourceful than the man she married. Stream "Vivacious Lady" (1938) on iFILM.
