Synopsis
Dragon Blade (2015) is a historical action adventure from director Daniel Lee, available to watch online on iFILM. Set under China's Han dynasty, it follows border guard commander Huo An, framed by his enemies and sold into slavery, just as a Roman legion stumbles out of the desert toward him.
At first Jackie Chan's Chinese warrior and John Cusack's exiled Roman general Lucius square off as foes. Their real enemy turns out to be the same man: the ruthless Tiberius, bent on seizing the Silk Road for himself. Adrien Brody plays that villain with icy relish, while the fortress battles staged across the desert carry the broad scale you expect from a Chan production. The story riffs on the half-legend of a Roman legion that vanished somewhere in Asia.
