Edie

"Edie" (2018) is a British drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Simon Hunter. Sheila Hancock plays an 83-year-old woman who, after a lifetime of doing what was expected of her, decides to climb a mountain.

Edie's father kept her home; so did her husband. When her husband dies, she pulls out an old camping rucksack and heads to the Scottish Highlands — Mount Suilven, a route that puts off experienced walkers. The young guide Jonny (Kevin Guthrie) refuses the job flat. Edie goes anyway. Hancock plays the whole thing with a dry stubbornness that stops the film from ever becoming sentimental; there are genuinely funny stretches, and moments that catch you off guard.
