Season 1
Synopsis
The Story of God with Morgan Freeman (2016), Season 1 is a National Geographic documentary you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes in which Morgan Freeman chases humanity's oldest questions across the globe.
Each hour takes one theme. The premiere asks what waits beyond death; from there Freeman weighs how faiths picture the end of days, traces how the idea of God has shifted over history, and goes looking for what happened at creation. The last two turn to the roots of evil and the pull of miracles. He doesn't push a single answer — he sets Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and older cults side by side, moving from Indian temples to dig sites and neuroscience labs.
Freeman's calm narration and his refusal to preach are the real draw; the season plays more like a travelogue of belief than a lecture. Stream The Story of God with Morgan Freeman Season 1 online on iFILM.
