Mexico, the 1940s. El Gallo de Oro (2023), Season 1 is a 10-episode drama you can watch online on iFILM, built around Dionisio Pinzón — a shy fairground town crier who cares about nothing more than cockfighting.

The season carries him from poverty to fortune and back toward the edge. Everything turns on Bernarda, known as La Caponera, a singer who drifts from fair to fair and, people say, hands luck to whoever stands beside her. Dionisio follows her town to town: first the pits and the prize rooster, then the cards and a game where the stakes are no longer a handful of coins. The chapters carry it forward — "The Conquest," "The Shoes," "The Roosters," "The Ring," "The Dagger" — each one raising him higher and closer to ruin.
