My Home Hero (2023) is a crime thriller anime you can watch online on iFILM. Tetsuo Tosu — a mild-mannered toy-store manager who reads detective novels for fun — spots bruises on his grown daughter Reika's face. When he overhears her boyfriend threatening to kill her over the phone, this ordinary dad does something nobody would expect of him.

A single act of protection drags him into a war with organized crime: the dead man turns out to be the son of a ruthless mob boss, and suddenly the whole Tosu family is a target. The show runs on calculation rather than action — Tetsuo covers his tracks and plans every move like a character out of the mysteries he loves.
