Into this world steps an unlikely detective: the immortal Aya Rindo, who has been reduced to nothing but a head in a gilded birdcage.

Someone tore her body away from her, so she travels the continent to recover it and settle the score. Her devoted maid Shizuku Hasei carries the cage. The third of the trio is Tsugaru Shunichi, a half-demon Oni Slayer whose own life was hanging by a thread until that head offered him a deal. Together they crack cases where the culprits aren't ordinary killers but monsters, each crime a puzzle built from inhuman clues. Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Aya, with Taku Yashiro as Tsugaru.

Adapted from Yugo Aosaki's novel, the show runs on a rare blend: a Sherlock Holmes-style whodunit in which the suspects are vampires and werewolves and the sleuth physically cannot leave her perch.
