Francesco, played by Marco Giallini, is caught between professional calm and plain fatherly panic as he tries to manage three hopeless love stories at once.

Genovese would go on to make Perfect Strangers, and his signature is already here: interlocking storylines, a faint bitterness under the laughs, and two hours of talk that never drags. The cast pulls in familiar faces of Italian cinema, from Claudia Gerini to Alessandro Gassmann. Best for viewers who like warm family comedies that tease their characters with affection.
