HBO's comedy runs six short episodes in anthology format, each centered on a different client. A college student navigates her aunt and uncle's religious household without giving up campus life. A man named Chase relocates from the suburban Midwest to Queens with his dog Gatsby and discovers the city doesn't come with instructions. Aging parents see their son's new success and struggle to know where they fit. An aspiring writer convinces The Guy to sit for an interview, then can't stop checking her phone. The last episode splits between a longtime client who won't leave his apartment and The Guy himself, on a rough night.
