The organization is run by Integra Hellsing, the icy descendant of the legendary vampire hunter. Her sharpest weapon is Alucard, an ancient vampire of terrifying power bound by oath to serve humans. When rookie officer Seras Victoria is fatally caught in the crossfire, Alucard turns her, and she has to learn to live with the hunger that comes with it. Meanwhile someone is mass-producing artificial ghouls through implanted chips, and the outbreak spreads faster than even Hellsing's troops can burn it down.

These thirteen episodes from studio Gonzo adapt Kouta Hirano's early manga, and they run grimmer and more grounded than the later Hellsing Ultimate.
