High School of the Dead (Season 1)

High School of the Dead (2010) is a zombie horror anime you can watch online on iFILM. An ordinary day at Fujimi High snaps in half when the first infected man shows up at the gate and the grounds fill with the walking dead within minutes.

Teenager Takashi Komuro is forced to put down his own best friend after the boy turns. From there he takes charge of Rei Miyamoto, the dead friend's girlfriend, and gathers a ragged band of survivors: swordswoman Saeko, school nurse Shizuka, a gun-obsessed honor student and a few classmates. They cut through the overrun city, search for their families, and try to work out where the outbreak even came from.

The series was animated by Madhouse from the manga by Daisuke and Shoji Sato, running a tight twelve episodes. Gore, gunfights and heavy fan service sit side by side here, which is exactly what turned it into a cult favorite. Stream all episodes of High School of the Dead (2010) online on iFILM.
