The Mortuary Collection

The Mortuary Collection (2020) is a horror anthology you can watch online on iFILM. In the eerie town of Raven's End, a young woman shows up looking for work at a crumbling old mortuary, and its owner agrees to walk her through the secrets his corpses left behind.

Clancy Brown plays the undertaker, a towering, courtly and deeply unsettling storyteller. The four tales he spins stretch across the decades from the fifties to the eighties: a thief opens the wrong cabinet, a careless frat boy learns the cost of his choices, a husband schemes to be rid of his ailing wife. Each story lands darker than the last, and the final one cuts straight at the listener herself. Caitlin Custer and Jacob Elordi also feature.

Writer-director Ryan Spindell builds the whole thing with obvious affection for old Tales from the Crypt-style horror: practical creature effects, biting gallows humor, clever twists. This isn't cheap jump-scare fare but a carefully crafted spook show with real voice. It's a perfect pick for fans of anthologies and retro horror.
