Synopsis
Animaniacs (2020) is the Warner Bros. animated revival made for Hulu, and you can watch online on iFILM. A quarter-century on, Yakko and Wakko Warner and their sister Dot are back — the three manic toons once let loose from the studio water tower and never quite recaptured.
The Warners tear through eras and genres, break into musical numbers, and take down puffed-up authority figures who badly need an ego check. Running alongside is the other fan favorite: lab mice Pinky and the Brain plotting world domination one more time and flopping just as spectacularly. The humor works on two levels at once, slapstick and songs for the kids, sly political and pop-culture jabs for the adults watching with them.
Almost the whole original 1990s voice cast returns: Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, Tress MacNeille and Maurice LaMarche slip back into their roles like no time passed at all.
