Synopsis
Hap and Leonard (2016), Season 1 — watch this swamp-noir crime drama online on iFILM, six episodes drawn from Joe R. Lansdale's novels. It's late-1980s East Texas, and the heart of it is the friendship between Hap Collins, a broke white laborer, and Leonard Pine, a gay Black Vietnam vet with a short fuse.
Both have just lost their jobs when Trudy, Hap's ex-wife, walks back into his life. She's the femme fatale, and she's got a pitch: stolen bank money sunk at the bottom of a river, easy to haul up. It is not easy. The get-rich scheme curdles into bloodshed. Washed-up revolutionaries climb aboard, cocaine enters the picture, and a pair of grinning killers, Soldier and Angel, close in. Six episodes tighten the noose, testing whether that lifelong bond holds.
