Synopsis
Extraordinary Mission (非凡任务, 2017) is a Chinese crime action film you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by Alan Mak — the filmmaker behind the Infernal Affairs trilogy, the Hong Kong series that Martin Scorsese adapted as The Departed. Here he returns to deep-cover territory: officer Lin Kai (Huang Xuan) goes inside a major narcotics syndicate with no backup and no exit plan.
Duan Yihong plays the syndicate's leader — controlled, intelligent, and genuinely threatening. Mak has always been more interested in the psychological cost of living a double life than in the action around it, and that's what gives this film its texture.
