Ego locks three hundred of the nation's best young forwards inside a sprawling training facility called Blue Lock. The terms are brutal — lose, and you are barred from the national team for life. Teamwork is almost beside the point here; the program is built to forge pure, ruthless selfishness in front of goal. At the center is Yoichi Isagi, an unremarkable kid with a sixth sense for open space who suddenly realizes he wants to be the best, not merely useful. Around him swarm dozens of vivid rivals, each with a signature weapon on the pitch.

Adapted from the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, the show became a breakout the moment it aired: a 24-episode first season, followed by a continuation and a feature spin-off centered on Nagi.
