Spun

Spun (2003) is a pitch-black crime comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jonas Åkerlund. Ross, a college dropout hooked on crystal meth, tumbles into a three-day bender where time, place and good sense all dissolve.

All he really wants is to get back with his old girlfriend Amy. But the road there runs through his dealer, Spider Mike, through a meth chemist known as the Cook, and through the Cook's stripper girlfriend Nikki — whom Ross stupidly handcuffs to a bed and forgets about. Jason Schwartzman leads, surrounded by Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, John Leguizamo, Mena Suvari and Patrick Fugit. Blondie's Debbie Harry even turns up in a small part.

Åkerlund came from music videos, and the whole film plays like one long one: thousands of cuts, a twitchy strobing edit, all the rage and absurdity of a drug marathon.
