Synopsis
Missing Link (2019) is Laika's stop-motion adventure comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Sir Lionel Frost, self-styled hunter of myths and monsters, just wants London's snobbish explorers to take him seriously for once.
His proof waits in the Pacific Northwest: a towering, shaggy and remarkably polite creature who turns out to be the legendary missing link. He calls himself Mr. Link, speaks in full sentences, and asks only to be reunited with his relatives in the Himalayan valley of Shangri-La. The trio — Frost, Mr. Link and the sharp-tongued adventurer Adelina Fortnight — crosses oceans, trains and saloons to get him there. Hugh Jackman, Zach Galifianakis and Zoe Saldana lead the voice cast.
Director Chris Butler built the film from thousands of hand-printed faces and painstaking frame-by-frame puppetry, and the work paid off with the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature.
