Synopsis
The Shannara Chronicles (2016) is a fantasy-adventure series you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Terry Brooks' bestselling novels. Three hundred years after a war that nearly wiped out magic, the only thing caging an army of demons is an ancient tree called the Ellcrys, and it has started to die.
Half-elf Wil has no idea he carries a healer's gift until he is pulled into a quest alongside the elven princess Amberle and a sharp-tongued thief named Eretria. Their guide is Allanon, the last druid in the Four Lands and the one person who remembers how the previous war ended. As the Ellcrys withers, the seal weakens, and the things locked away for centuries begin slipping through. Austin Butler plays Wil years before Elvis, Manu Bennett is Allanon, and John Rhys-Davies turns up in the cast.
Shot across New Zealand, the show leans hard on its landscapes: waterfalls, redwoods, and skyscraper ruins swallowed by forest.
