Z for Zachariah

Ann (Margot Robbie) has survived in a sheltered mountain valley the fallout somehow spared. Zobel skips the spectacle of most end-of-the-world films and keeps it to three people and a quiet, simmering question of who Ann will choose to believe. Adapted from Robert O'Brien's novel, it leans on performance rather than effects. Best suited to viewers who like slow tension and science fiction with no action set pieces.
