Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic (2010) is a grown-up animated action-horror you can watch online on iFILM, loosely adapted from the video game that reworked Dante's poem.

Back from the Crusades, the knight Dante walks into a slaughter: his family murdered, his beloved Beatrice dying. When Lucifer drags her soul down below, Dante goes after her, plunging through the nine circles of Hell. The poet Virgil guides him, and every circle from lust to treachery becomes its own brutal fight. Graham McTavish voices Dante, with Mark Hamill among the cast.

The making of it is half the curiosity. The film was split across several studios and directors from Japan, Korea, Singapore and the United States, so the art style shifts noticeably from one segment to the next. Some viewers find that patchwork; others read it as the whole point. This is dark, bloody, definitely-not-for-kids fantasy aimed at fans of game adaptations and harder-edged animation.
