About

Synopsis

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich (2020) is a Netflix documentary miniseries you can watch online on iFILM. Across four episodes, director Lisa Bryant lays out how a financier worth hundreds of millions dodged accountability for abusing underage girls for years.

The survivors carry the series. Women recruited as teenagers describe how the machine ran — friends pulling in friends, the mansions in New York and Palm Beach, the private island. The series traces how Epstein's money and his contacts, reaching from politicians to celebrities, kept him untouchable, and how a soft 2008 plea deal let him walk away from almost everything. It follows the thread through to his 2019 arrest and the jail-cell death that people are still arguing about.

It draws on the book of the same name by journalist James Patterson. This is heavy viewing: the filmmakers bet on patient survivor testimony rather than shock, which makes stretches of it hard to sit through. It suits anyone who wants to understand the mechanics of impunity more than they want another conspiracy theory. Stream all episodes of Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich online on iFILM.
