Synopsis
Aggretsuko (2018), Season 1 is an anime comedy on Netflix — ten episodes you can watch online on iFILM. Retsuko the red panda is five years into an office job that gives nothing back: a boss who berates her, coworkers who dump their tasks on her desk, and death-metal karaoke sessions after dark as the only pressure valve that actually works.
The season follows her first real attempt to escape. A high-school classmate named Puko dangles a way out — a shared business idea that sounds like freedom. It evaporates. Plan B is marriage as an exit strategy, a plan that gets quietly rewritten after she stumbles into a friendship with Director Gori and her sharp assistant Washimi, two women who see more in Retsuko than an obedient accountant. A tentative crush on a sales-floor colleague named Resasuke adds one more complication to the usual grind.
