She was raised by Erik (Joel Kinnaman), an ex-mercenary who trained his adopted daughter from infancy to shoot, hunt and kill. For the first time Hanna steps into the wider world of phones, trains and ordinary teenagers, all while digging into the mystery of where she came from. Esme Creed-Miles plays her as feral and bewildered at once, with Ray Liotta in support.

The series spins out of Joe Wright's 2011 film, with its screenwriter David Farr stepping up as showrunner.
