Poltergeist

Poltergeist (1982) is Tobe Hooper's horror film you can watch online on iFILM. The Freelings seem like any ordinary family in a brand-new California suburb, until something invisible starts speaking to their youngest daughter through the static of a dead TV channel.

At first it plays like a prank: chairs stack themselves, dishes slide across the kitchen floor. Then little Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) is pulled into a portal as her parents watch, her voice trapped somewhere inside the broadcast. Steve and Diane Freeling (Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams) call in a team of parapsychologists, then a tiny medium named Tangina (Zelda Rubinstein), who knows exactly what the spirits want and why they won't let the girl go.
