Synopsis
"Госзащита" (2026) — the title translates as State Protection — is a Russian crime comedy series available to watch online on iFILM. Con man Roman Sokolov was caught for large-scale fraud but cut a deal with investigators before the handcuffs went on, trading a prison cell for the witness protection programme. Roman and his daughter Alisa are shipped to Blagoveshchensk and installed in a ready-made cover family — the Khomyakovs, headed by Major Svetlana as "mum" and Captain Grigory as "son", both active-duty officers. The seasoned schemer must now play the model citizen, rebuild trust with a daughter who gave up on him long ago, and keep his composure under the same roof as two police officers who are very much on the clock.
