Synopsis
"MK Ultra" (2022) is an American thriller you can watch online on iFILM, built around one of the CIA's most documented — and most suppressed — covert programs. It's the early 1960s. Psychiatrist Ford Strauss is recruited to run a subsection of MK-Ultra inside a rural Mississippi mental hospital.
The assignment: develop methods to control the human mind. Anson Mount plays Strauss as a man who starts out believing in the science and ends somewhere he can't explain. Jason Patric is his handler from Washington, indifferent to the human cost. Directed by Joseph Sorrentino, the film tracks what happens when institutional authority and moral drift occupy the same building. The real program wasn't declassified until 1977.
