Fifteen-year-old Ars spent most of his life home-schooled because of his psychological traits. After moving to a small town with his mother, he decides to try regular school. His classmates don't know what to make of him — his behavior and hobbies don't map onto any familiar type. Over time the wariness shifts to curiosity, except for one classmate who goes by Sissy: he takes Ars's presence as something personal and keeps applying pressure until it forces an open confrontation.
