Synopsis
Belgian filmmakers Raphaël Balboni and Ann Sirot direct "Madly in Life" (Une vie démente, 2020) — a drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Alex and Noémie have been trying to start a family. Then Alex's mother Suzanne is diagnosed with semantic dementia, and everything else moves to second place.
Jo Deseure plays Suzanne — a woman who was sharp and fully herself, now gradually dismantled by a disease that rewires personality before it takes memory. Lucie Debay and Jean Le Peltier carry the weight of a couple who have to become caregivers before they got to become parents. The film does not smooth that out.
