The Neighbor (El vecino, 2019) is a Spanish Netflix comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Javier is thirty, perpetually broke, and his T-shirt business built around demotivational slogans is going nowhere. His relationship with Lola isn't doing much better. Then an alien falls on him, transfers its powers, and dies — leaving Javier with abilities he has absolutely no use for.

Based on the Spanish comic book by Pepo Pérez and Santiago García, with episodes directed by a rotating team that included Nacho Vigalondo. Quim Gutiérrez and Clara Lago lead the cast. What makes it work is that Javier isn't trying to save the world — he's trying to save his rent and his relationship, and the superpowers only make everything harder.
