The Feebles Variety Hour is about to go on air. Behind the curtain, the cast is falling apart. Heidi the hippo, the show's star, has just discovered that her walrus lover Bletch is cheating on her. Everyone else is dealing with drug addiction, blackmail, disease, debt, and organized crime. The puppets play all of it completely straight — which is exactly what makes it work.
