What the Waters Left Behind

What the Waters Left Behind (Los olvidados, 2017) is an Argentine horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by brothers Nicolás and Luciano Onetti. The setting is real: Villa Epecuén, an Argentine resort town swallowed by floodwaters in November 1985 and left submerged under ten metres of salt for thirty years before resurfacing as a bleached, silent wasteland.

A group of young filmmakers drives out to document the ruins. They ignore the warnings and get stranded as night falls — and slowly realize something has been waiting there.
