Criminal: Spain, Season 1 — three episodes of Netflix psychological crime drama to watch online on iFILM. The whole season takes place inside a single interrogation room in Madrid, and it barely needs anything else.
Each episode is its own closed case. Isabel is eccentric and sharp-tongued, questioned while her drug-addict brother is suspected of murder — she controls every inch of the conversation. Carmen is quiet and guarded, brought in after her younger sister drowned in the bathtub; the detectives sense she is hiding something they cannot reach. Carmelo is charming, caught with a kilo of cocaine, and personally connected to one of the investigators in a way that turns the interrogation into something more complicated than procedure.
