Synopsis
Expedition: Back to the Future (2021), Season 1 — a four-episode documentary road trip you can watch online on iFILM. Christopher Lloyd, Doc Brown himself, teams up with host Josh Gates to drive across the United States hunting down the surviving DeLorean DMC-12s used in the legendary trilogy.
The premise sounds easy and quickly turns into a race against the clock. The cars sit scattered across private garages and museums, one of them a wreck, another nearly out of reach; a lead in Orlando raises hope before a fresh setback lands. By the finish the pair has to assemble one working time machine and hand it to Michael J. Fox, with the auction proceeds going to his Parkinson's research foundation.
