Synopsis
Dancing On (Alors on danse, 2022) is a French comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. At the party thrown for her husband's retirement, Sandra catches him with another woman — and thirty years of marriage collapse in a single evening.
She walks out and moves into the cluttered cottage where her sister Danie still lives. The two could not be less alike. Danie is a blunt, dog-loving single with a chip on her shoulder; Sandra spent decades as a comfortable wife on a tidy vineyard. Their forced cohabitation is prickly at first. Then Danie drags her sister to a local amateur dance troupe, and Sandra rediscovers the one talent she buried long ago.
Michèle Laroque directs and co-stars, with Isabelle Nanty, Thierry Lhermitte and Patrick Timsit rounding out the cast. It's a remake of the British hit Finding Your Feet, and the French version leans on warmth rather than plot twists — a gentle reminder that starting over at sixty is still starting over.
