The Break (La Trêve, 2016) is a Belgian crime series you can watch online on iFILM. A detective from Brussels takes a quiet posting in an Ardennes village and finds a dead footballer in his first week. Local police say suicide. He isn't buying it.

Guillaume Kerbusch plays an officer with no allies and no read on the community, working a case that runs through a small-town football club, long-standing silences, and people who clearly know more than they're saying. Director Matthieu Donck builds the season — eight episodes — out of texture and accumulation, not action. The tagline says "anyone can kill," and the series earns that line slowly.
