Synopsis

Italy is falling apart. The Mani Pulite anti-corruption investigation is dismantling the entire political class. On 30 April, a crowd pelts former prime minister Bettino Craxi with coins outside a Rome hotel — the First Republic dying in public. Into the vacuum steps Berlusconi, and Leonardo is there to help him through the door. Miriam Leone, Guido Caprino, and the ensemble from 1992 return to fill in a country where the rules have suddenly stopped applying to anyone.
