Synopsis
"The Honored Priest: Confession of a Samurai" (2015) is a Russian action drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Egor Baranov and starring Carey-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Father Nikolai — an Orthodox priest whose brother runs a yakuza clan.
Father Nikolai was born Takuro Nakamura, a former professional athlete who took his vows and tried to leave the criminal world behind. One street fight ends that plan: he steps in to protect a woman, crosses the wrong gang, and triggers a war between clans. The Church moves him to Glubokoye, a rural Russian village where a land developer named Nelyubin has been steadily forcing residents off their property. Pyotr Fedorov, Nikita Efremov, Ivan Okhlobystin, and Pyotr Mamonov fill out the ensemble.
