Synopsis

Lenka Shabadinova is in a hurry. She has a shift to cover at a street kiosk before midnight strikes, and the city of Yekaterinburg has other plans for her evening. Yana Troyanova plays Lenka with raw, deadpan precision, and around her rotates an ensemble that includes Gosha Kutsenko, Evgeny Tsyganov, Yuliya Snigir, and Inna Churikova — each appearing in brief, sharply observed episodes that together build a portrait of a Russian New Year's night.
