Former CIA operative Nelson Crowe takes a position inside a secretive industrial espionage outfit. His opening assignment: bribe a sitting Supreme Court justice. The judge takes the payment, then backs out — and what looked like clean work begins to unravel. Inside the firm, partner Margaret Wells is either the sharpest ally Nelson has or his most dangerous problem. No one gives a straight answer, and every layer of the operation seems to have another layer underneath.
