Synopsis
Disappear Completely (Desaparecer Por Completo, 2024) is a Mexican horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Santiago makes his living photographing corpses for the tabloid crime pages, and one day he crosses a line, sneaking shots of a ritual killing he was never meant to see.
After that story runs, things start to come apart for the photographer. First his sense of smell goes. Then taste. Touch, hearing, sight follow — one by one his body stops registering the world. In their place comes a sense he never had: he can see the dead. They are the only ones who can tell him whose curse is eating him alive, and whether he can break it before the darkness is permanent. Director Luis Javier Henaine builds dread out of decay rather than jump scares, letting the camera itself catch whatever the hero is losing. Harold Torres carries almost the whole thing on his shoulders. Slow, genuinely unsettling work for anyone tired of identical American scare machines.
