Synopsis
Big Stone Gap (2014) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Adriana Trigiani, who adapted her own bestselling novel and shot the film in the actual Appalachian mountain town where the story is set.
Ave Maria Mulligan, played by Ashley Judd, runs the local pharmacy and quietly holds her community together. She's past forty, long since resigned to being alone, and mostly fine with it. Then a childhood friend (Patrick Wilson) reappears, and the quiet arrangements she's made start to look less permanent. Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Krakowski, Jenna Elfman and Anthony LaPaglia fill out the ensemble with the warmth of people who've known each other their whole lives.
