Synopsis
L'Adieu à la nuit — Farewell to the Night (2019) is a French drama directed by André Téchiné, available to watch online on iFILM. Muriel (Catherine Deneuve) is glad her beloved grandson Alex has stopped by for a few days — he says he's heading to Canada for work. Something in him has changed.
Joy turns to unease. Alex won't meet her eyes, is short in conversation, guards his phone. The more Muriel quietly looks into it, the darker the picture gets. Kacey Mottet Klein plays Alex; Oulaya Amamra is the young woman Leilah, who sits at the centre of what Muriel must eventually decide.
