Synopsis
Rich Hill (2014) is an American documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Andrew Droz Palermo and Tracy Droz Tragos spent extended time in Rich Hill, Missouri — a town of just over 1,300 people along Interstate 49, the kind of place you drive through without slowing down.
The film follows three boys. Three different sets of circumstances — absent parents, money that isn't there, futures that look uncertain at twelve years old. No narration, no interviews, no thesis spelled out. Just long, close observation and the accumulation of small details that start to say everything.
It took the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2014. The kind of documentary that stays with you not because it tells you what to think, but because it doesn't. Stream Rich Hill (2014) on iFILM.
