Synopsis

The show traces her path from a small-town girlhood to the film sets where her iron will earned her the nickname La Doña. Fame, love affairs, scandal, husbands and rivals all crowd the frame — and the portrait isn't built from polished legend but from investigative reporting and the testimony of people who actually knew her, among them her confidant and heir Luis Martínez de Anda. Ximena Romo plays the young María, Úrsula Pruneda the older one.
