Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Brooks, and Uzo Aduba turned supporting roles into the emotional spine of the whole show — Aduba won Emmy Awards in both the guest and supporting actress categories, a feat almost nobody else has pulled off.

Produced by Lionsgate Television and Tilted Productions, the show shifted genre by season: intimate prison drama in year one, sharp political satire by the end.
